Giulia's Tuna Tomato Pasta (Pasta al Tonno)

Ingredients:

  • Spaghetti (or any pasta of choice)

  • 1 Canned tuna (in olive oil, not water)

  • 2 Shallots or Yellow onions

  • 1 Canned peeled tomatoes

  • Olive oil

  • Salt & pepper

  • Garnish with parsley (optional)

Steps:

  • Boil water and cook the spaghetti

  • Chop shallots (or yellow onions) and sauté in olive oil on the pan

  • Squeeze excess oil out of canned tuna and add into pan

  • Add canned tomatoes into the pan and simmer

  • Add salt and pepper to taste

  • Add cooked spaghetti into the pan and mix with the sauce
